Restructuring of oil sludge disposal sites – Significant reduction of problematic substances during tank cleaning

The oil sludges occurring in the course of the tank cleaning or in the production plants are separated into their components by means of decanter or tricanter® centrifuges of the company Flottweg.

Decanter separate oil sludges in two phases, a fluid phase (mixture of oil and water) and a dry sediment.

During the separation with the more complex tricanter® centrifuges, there are three phases (oil, water and sediment) with very little portions of the corresponding undesired foreign substances. The resulting separated products can be reused and / or disposed of partly without further treatment.
