A base material is provided with a top layer (e.g. dirt or paint). Due to different energy absorption thresholds of the materials, the laser penetrates the cover layer, is absorbed there and causes the medium to evaporate.

The emitted energy does not affect the base material, which is configured accordingly in the hardware and software beforehand. At the same time, the evaporated contamination/varnish is extracted.

The extracted material is directly bound by several filters and catalysts (activated carbon) and the cleaned air is returned to the environment.
